Ostara Egg Candles

My family made egg candles last year for our Ostara Celebration. They were easy to make and made a nice gift for our guests.

To make you need:

Eggs
Dye or paint
Candle wicks
Wax (You can simply melt down old candles)
Little wooden discs (and paint if you want it)

1. careful crack the eggs so you have about 60% of the shell intact (save the yolk/whites for breakfast!)

2. Paint or dye the egg shell (we simply put them in a bowl of water with some food colouring)

3. Let dry completely.

4. Melt down wax and carefully pour wax into shells.

5. Put the wick in (you may need to support it so it stays centered until the wax dries)

6. Glue little wood discs (available at most crafts stores) on the bottom so the egg sits solid. (if you want you can paint the wood discs in a festive colour)

That's it! Super easy!
